Referring to my letter of December 18th., I

beg to inform you that I have sent to the German Consulate at Hongkong the sum of £24, 10.0.

This sum, which is the final payment out of the estate, is for the lunatic Charles Ahrens and I beg you to receive it from the German Consulate against the receipt which is already in the bands of the Consul.

Payment will be made only to persons entitled to receive it. The cost of certifying to the signatures by the Consul must be borne by you.
